India is moving towards a major push in the EV segment with some of the major steps such as Scrappage Policy, New ventures in EV segment, subsidies on new EV purchases and many other continuous steps. We are entering into a Decade where the new buyers as well as those with 8-10 years old vehicles will be looking for EV vehicles.

2) JAGUAR I-PACE: This is the latest entrant in the Indian EV segment. It is a Premium segment car for those who willing to pay for the additional features including acceleration from 0-100 Km/H in just 4.8 Sec. This car will be powerful and fast with 90 kWh Lithium Ion Battery driving 2 Electric Motors. The main benefit that is worth considering is the 1.60 Lakh Km Warranty which is worth Rs 8 lakh of Petrol at an average of 20Kmph. The charging time will be 14 Hours awith a 7.4 kW AC Charger.
3) MG ZS EV: The Auto Giant MG has come up with its Electric Variant MG ZS EV. It offers acceleration of 0-100 KmPH in 8.3 Sec. The full charging time of 6-8 Hours can be achieved with a 7.4 KW AC Home charger which will be installed free of cost at Home. It comes with 44.3 kWh battery Pack that supplies a power of 143 PS and 353 Nm of Torque.
4) HYUNDAI KONA ELECTRIC: It was the first Indian Electric SUV coming from Hyundai with a 39.2 kWh Lithium Ion Batterywith a peak power of 395 Nm and 134.13 bhp. Initially launched at Rs 25 Lacs, its rate was cut to Rs 23.5 Lacs after GST cut.
5) TATA NEXON EV: This is the current highest selling Electric Car in Indian at EV Segment. It has rolled out its 1000th Car from Pune. The Price starts from Rs 14 Lac and goes upto Rs 16 Lacs. The Battery capacity is 30.2 kWh 320 V lithium polymer.
Tata Motors has divided its PV segment from its Commercial Vehicles segment and is expected to launch more EV vehicles after this move. Also the OLA Electric Scooters are much awaited which is expected to boost the EV market with 1 Crore Vehicles per year.
